My name is Sofia Minkova.

I am an artist, an art teacher and an art therapist.

I was born in Siberia, lived in the United States, afterwards - Moscow to then move to Rome where I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and a Master's degree in Art therapy at the Sapienza, University of Rome.

I currently live and work in Rome.

My artwork by some critics has been definied as "emotional painting", expressionism, sureallistic abstract, but one definition has never changed - the depth of the expression of the human emotion, heart and mind through various subjects, like nature, human body, cityscapes of the eternal city of Rome and more...

My highest aspiration is to touch the chords of the soul embracing emotions and reflecting the mirror of our perceptions.
